The Process - From Concept to Carbon

Onnu is a biochar carbon removal project developer. We work at scale and speed, taking projects from inital concept to biochar production in less than a year.

With extensive experience in BCR project development, we partner with organizations that have a residual biomass, helping them to unlock its additional value. Because of the nature of biomass pyrolysis, our partners are typically in the agricultural or food processing sectors.

We design each carbonization plant around the available feedstock and the specific requirements of the site. Our proprietary CarboFlow technology is installed and commissioned by our team, and carefully optimized to meet performance specifications.

Once the plant is operational, we manage the full value chain - securing offtake for the biochar produced, as well as handling the associated carbon credits and green energy.
